Terms of service

By using IndieTide (indietide.com), you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You must be at least 16 to create an account.

You sign in with Google and are responsible for what happens under your account. Use one account per person, and keep the details on your profile accurate. Tell us at hello@indietide.com if you think your account has been misused.

You may submit products you made or are authorised to represent. Descriptions, images and links must be accurate, and you must have the rights to everything you upload.

You keep ownership of your content. By submitting it, you give IndieTide a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt (for example resize images) and distribute it on the site, in feeds, badges, embeds, share images and the newsletter, and to promote IndieTide. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already shared or kept in backups for a limited time.

Product pages are meant to be a lasting record of a launch. When a product is deleted, its page and images are removed.

Don't submit or post anything that:

• is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive or infringes someone else's rights;
• is malware, phishing, spam or links to them;
• is sexually explicit, hateful, harassing or violent;
• impersonates a person, company or product you don't represent.

Each person gets one vote per product. Buying votes, trading votes, using multiple accounts, bots or any other attempt to manipulate rankings is not allowed. We may remove votes, reset rankings, or remove products and accounts involved.

Every product page links to the maker's website. The link is nofollow by default and becomes dofollow while our daily check finds the IndieTide badge on your homepage, as described on How it works. Our bot identifies itself as "IndieTideBadgeBot". We don't promise any particular search ranking, traffic or result from being listed.

We may review, edit for formatting, reschedule, hide, reject or remove any submission, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms or harm the site or its users. Where it makes sense, we'll tell you why.

Use the backlink checker, meta tag checker, domain authority tool, embeds and widgets only for lawful purposes and at a reasonable rate. Don't use them to attack, overload or scrape other sites, and don't try to get around usage limits. Results are provided as is and may be incomplete or out of date.

IndieTide is still growing. We may add, change or remove features, including advertising, sponsored placements or paid options. Paid features, if offered, will have their own price and terms shown before you buy.

If you believe something on IndieTide infringes your rights, email hello@indietide.com with the page address, what you own, and how to contact you. We'll review it and remove the content where appropriate.

IndieTide is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Products listed here are made by third parties; we don't endorse them and aren't responsible for them or their websites. Use them at your own risk.

To the fullest extent the law allows, IndieTide is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or traffic, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

You can stop using IndieTide at any time and ask us to delete your account at hello@indietide.com. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as the content licence for material already shared, the disclaimer and liability limits) survive.

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. For significant changes we'll give notice on the site. Continuing to use IndieTide after a change means you accept the new terms.
